City of Fremantle, Local Planning Strategy
The City of Fremantle’s Local Planning Strategy aims to stimulate development of a wider choice of housing in Fremantle’s suburban areas including specific strategies to encourage development of affordable housing including granting bonuses for affordable housing, aged and single-bedroom dwellings inappropriate location and promoting affordable housing opportunities by granting a density bonus for the provision of at least one affordable dwelling unit where the higher density of development is appropriately located. The strategy also identifies land which may be suitable for affordable housing developments.
