City of Swan, The Midland Alliance To End Homelessness
This case study outlines the City of Swan’s partnership with the Midland Alliance To End Homelessness to gain more accurate information on people experiencing homelessness in the area, through participation in the Zero Project. Using internationally recognised Advance to Zero methodology, rather than counting the number of houses provided, this method counts down the number of people experiencing rough sleeping and chronic homelessness, with the aim of reaching ‘functional zero’, using a combination of quality real-time data and service coordination their local communities.
