Funding, City of Vincent

In 2020 the City of Vincent, as trustee for the Leederville Gardens trust funds, provided up to $1 million of grants to public benevolent institutions to provide relief to vulnerable residents experiencing hardship due to COVID-19, including those experiencing homelessness.
This included:
• $200,000 to St Vincent de Paul for the Passages Youth Engagement Hub which provides support and a safe space for young people experiencing homelessness
• $129,000 to Uniting WA to extend outreach services and support for those who were sleeping rough within the City
• $27,800 to Ruah Community Services to support women and children fleeing domestic violence
• $105,000 to People Who Care to provide emergency relief in the form of food or essential goods or services to vulnerable people
$178,476 to Foodbank to fund emergency food relief hampers for those experiencing hardship.
